Rapport. People like people like themselves. Basically it means that people love themselves a lot. Everyone loves to talk about themselves and given a chance, if you let them, they can talk about themselves for many many hours. Not that its bad but strangely enough its quite true. People also like being with people of the same kind, meaning they like people who are like themselves. I mean it would be cool to have friends sharing the same interests as you and you can just talk about it all day long. Awesome.
Well I don't know why but I also have the tendency to talk a lot about myself. Duh its a blog why not. Ya so its kinda boring coming here and read about this guy who has so much problems. Well who doesn't have problems. Sheesh get on with life. Man why not reflect then, learn about flaws, correct flaws and be a better person.
Anyways I think building rapport is good. People like people like themselves. So you gotta just like be cool around them, learn what they like and also learn to like it. Sure they may have weird behavior but just imitating a bit can really put you subconsciously closer to that person. But there is something which you should take care of. Like for instance, trying too hard. I think I've been trying to hard in sometimes to be like others. I mean you should be yourself, but on the other hand should try to accomodate others.
This makes things kinda difficult doesn't it. Gotta be yourself and still gotta like be others. Hmmm, well whatever I have no idea why I'm talking about all these in the first place. Life is a horror since the term started. Man I'm falling behind and I'm kinda stuck in some rut. Many things have changed, or is it I have changed? Well be myself, so I didn't really change much, can it be the fault of others?
Don't blame others for things you should take responsibility for. Well that's kinda wise advice but if you keep changing for the better and things don't improve, is it still your fault? The best thing you can do well, if you want others to do something for you, you gotta do it for that someone first. Long term investment. Like my vice-principal used to say. Friendship is like a bank. What's inside it what you put in it. No matter how well you know a person, that account is always there. So the more you put in in a particular one, the more it grows and the interests accumulates. No matter how much you ignore it, it will still always be there. So make the full use of it.
So many stories I've learnt in secondary school from either the principal or the vice-principal. Its amazing how I can actually apply them to life. Everyone usually ignores such things but as you grow older, you realized wisdom in these words or stories. To you at first it might man, old boring stupid stories wasting my time. Once you get it, man it rockz. So how do you interpret things in life?
