Can something be fun yet suck at the same time? Apparently such events happen.
Anyway I attended a concert "Dunstable To Carpentier". The two names apparently belong to some composers from a long time ago. It was quite an interesting concert although the audience was very very small. Many empty seats. Anyway the genre would be early music. Its probably like Baroque Chamber Music to me. I don't know. I had a few eye-openers. First would be the Recorder Consort. First time seeing a bass recorder and stuff. Wow. And of course Eric Watson(hope I spell the name right) was there. The head of music for Lasalle convert to NAFA. Good for him. And there's the Harpsichord. First time seeing an actual one in action. And of course getting to hear male soprano and alto. Also in the event was Khor Ai Ming, a great soprano though I personally thought her voice wasn't at her best that night. And of course the main highlight should be Amadeus, supported by NAFA's mini orchestra.
Quite a hilarious showcase of talents. Well according to my friend though. He kept noticing the weird parts like how disciplined the Cellist was. His bow was like kept above the ground and he was not moving at all. And how the Timpani player lost count and had to ask the trumpet soloist where the song was at. LOL. Funny stuff.
