On the 16th of April every year, the world celebrates World Voice Day. Created to raise awareness of voice disorders, the concert of a voice centered event originated in Brazil int the April of 1999, when otolaryngologist established National Voice Week. This was in response to a World Health Organization report documenting a high rate of laryngeal cancer. Professional societies in other countries recognized the value of this and worked together in support of this cause.
The First World Voice Day was celebrated on April 16, 2003.
That was totally taken from the programme sheet. Anyway yes Singapore had its first World Voice Day celebration at the Esplanade Recital Studio. I swear it was totally not worth its money. The stage was practically hogged by Nelson Kwei's entourage. Anyway I find it impressive(as much as I love acapella music), that many voices can produce such great choral music. Really cool singing. But I feel its not worth the 15 bucks. No acapella music.
SCREW THE GOVERNMENT.( Should an event occur that I'm arrest and sent to jail for eternity I wanna tell all my friends and family I love them). They are still so set in the middle ages. Or stone age. Come on. World Voice Day. Let's have other various forms of music man. Choral choral choral. Yes I enjoy them too. But Acapella is where the coolness is man. I bet Nelson Kwei would so totally suck at conducting those stuff.
I had my first real badminton game(meaning playing in a court where no wind interrupts). My arm is starting to shut down. Meanwhile my feet have shut down. I'm contemplating whether I should go sign up for RCIA. I do not know why I'm so reluctant to go.
