The whole year towards baptism has been quite a trying one. But I'm glad I have so many friends to help me along the way. Without them, I doubt I'd be able to have advanced so much into my spiritual journey. To receive 3 sacraments in one day is a blessing indeed. And to have such a great ceremony, with many friends to witness this event, made me very happy. I'm finally and officially a Catholic. I'm proud to be part of this great family, and look forward to serving God with my life. The following is simply just Easter Triduum in a nutshell for me.
Maundy Thursday Had a short school day. Awesome lunch. Met the CSS Nellers for our mass at SVDP. Went visiting to St Anne's, Nativity, and Saint Francis Xavier. Witnessed for the first time what Easter is like. Not just all eggs and holidays and stuff. Went home in a very reflective and solemn mood after watching Jesus being 'arrested and taken away'.
Good Friday Went to Novena with my RCIA group to watch the Passion play. The weather provided great sound effects. Didn't really fast but I did abstain from meat. So I hope that counts. Lol. Didn't do much for the whole day. Had a productive gym though. Sweat some fats off.
Easter Vigil Went to Cathedral for mass. It was very awesome. Its like starting all lights were off. Then the Paschal candle was lit. And the Bishop went to the center and lights some candles. And soon all candles were ablaze and the church hall was brightly lit. Don't even need the lights. I was simply beautiful. The most awesome part was the Gloria, where the bells rung loud and long. The choir was good. Everyday about his resurrection was awesome.
Easter Sunday The biggest day of my life. Very exciting. I went to play badminton in the morning. Didn't eat anything except for a cup of milo. And 2 clorets mints. So that I can prepare my body for my first communion. From the immersion baptism, to the annointing of Chrism oil and Eucharistic celebration, it was a whirlwind of activity. Time passed by so slowly and yet so quickly. First I got dunked, then I got oiled and finally I got fed. It was awesome beyond words. I thank God for having this wonderful day. To be alive and to celebrate His feast as a member of His Church
AMEN
